Permanent Brow FAQ’s
Permanent Brows Pre & Post care instructions
All PMU Appointments require a credit card on file to hold your appointment. Please allow 48 hours for all rescheduling and cancellations, failure to do so will result in a late cancellation fee being charged to the card on file. This fee varies based upon the total fee of the appointment booked. All no-show appointments will be charged the full appointment amount! Respect for one another’s time is of the upmost importance, we are always mindful of your time and expect the same in return. All permanent makeup appointments require a 6 week touchup to finalize your tattoo, this touchup is $75.
Permanent Makeup Pre-care Instructions:
•Do not take Aspirin, Niacin, Vitamin E or Ibuprofen 24 hours prior to treatment.
•Do not drink coffee, alcohol or energy drinks on the day of treatment.
•Do not tan or sunbathe 3 days before treatment.
•No waxing, we prefer to shape your brows according to how they are mapped out for the procedure.
•No Chemical Peels, Microdermabrasion, Microneedling or any other intense treatments. This will cause skin cells to rejuvenate faster which will result in skin irritation. We recommend any of these to be done 2-3 weeks before Microblading.
*Botox and injections must be done 2 weeks prior to your appointment.
Permanent Makeup Aftercare Instructions
1-2 Hours following Gently blot the area with a clean tissue to absorb excess lymph. Lymph left on the surface can potentially turn into scabbing.
Days 2-7- Gently wash area twice daily for 15 seconds with mild soap included in your kit or baby wipes for oily skin and pat dry with dry cloth or tissue, do not rub! Do not use any exfoliants, glycolic, AHA, or BHA's. Be mindful that you are not scrubbing or being abrasive in any way to the area, this is simply to keep the area clean.
Days 1-7- Apply a small amount of Makeup Moxie's Aftercare Balm with a cotton swab and spread it across the treated area twice a day. Do not over-apply as this will suffocate the brow and affect the healing process, the product should be barely visible on the skin. Apply to dry skin only. Your balm should last through the healing of your touchup as well.

How long does the procedure take
We start by mapping out your brows according the structure and features of your face and drawing them on the skin with a soft pencil. Once the shape is perfected the blading/machine procedure takes approximately 1-1.5 hours depending which service is booked. The whole procedure takes approximately 2.5-3.5 hours. We take time and care to make sure you are completely satisfied with the overall result and you will never feel rushed.
Will I need a touch-up
All new PMU services require a 6-8 week perfecting appointment to ensure proper acceptance of pigment and to polish and complete the look. This appointment is $75. After your initial touch-up most treatments last 12-24 months depending on the service, how well you follow aftercare instructions and lifestyle at which point you will book a yearly touch-up.
